59.11 Mariachi Ensemble at the St. Edwards Music Festival

February 28, 2011

I’m not at all surprised by the fact that St. Edwards University has a music festival. We live in Austin. It seems like everybody has their own festival. This one sounds like a ton of fun, and it definitely will be much more low-key than the SXSW music festival in our very near future.

Tonight, the St. Edwards Mariachi Ensemble will be performing both traditional and modern mariachi. Who doesn’t love mariachi bands?

They’ll have more music throughout the week, offering everything from jazz to Celtic music, so check out the website for more on each show.  These student musicians are very talented. For anyone that loves live shows, this is a great opportunity to see a wide variety of music for not a lot of money.

When: Tonight

Time: 7:30-10 p.m.

Admission: $5

Robert & Pearle Ragsdale Center, Jones Auditorium
3001 South Congress Ave.
Austin, Texas 78704
