27.11 Farmhouse Delivery

January 27, 2011

I’m still attempting to stick to my New Year’s resolutions, and making an effort to eat healthy was definitely one of them. Not surprisingly, it’s also one of the hardest to maintain. Luckily, local companies like Farmhouse Delivery are here to help.

Their name does a pretty great job of summing up what they do. They bring farm-grown products to your doorstep on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Their products are exclusively from local farms, including some they even grow themselves. Their menu changes weekly based on what’s in season, but they have everything from local produce, meat, dairy, eggs and more.

There is more to being a member than just getting fresh, healthy food. Members have the opportunity to participate in Rain Lily Farm events, potlucks, pickling parties, gardening and yes, even cooking classes, happy hours, farm field trips and more.

If you are wanting to give it a try, today’s deal is half off membership fee to Farmhouse Delivery, click here for more details.

They’re the group that supplies one of my absolute favorite trailers, Odd Duck, with its local produce.

I love Austin (obviously), but one of the coolest things about this city is how the community supports local businesses. It’s definitely unique.
