15.11 The Soup Peddler

January 15, 2011

I might be going against the grain here, but I am absolutely loving this weather. The cold and the rain, I can’t get enough it. I think this is what the month of January is all about.

Those that follow me on twitter (@365ThingsAustin) know that I was doing some blog research this week. After numerous followers suggested The Soup Peddler, I thought I might as well give it a try. It definitely exceeded my expectations. I’m glad I tried it when I did, because something about warm soup on a cold, rainy day is just perfect.

The menu changes daily, so check the website for the offerings of the day. I happened to go on a day where the specials were Frito pie and chicken and rice soup. I got both. Even though it was against my better judgment and one of my New Year’s resolutions (drop some LB’s), who can resist vegetarian Frito Pie?

I’ve never used their home delivery system, but I do know that they have one. So those that are interested in delivery soup – check out the website.

If this has been on your radar and you’re wanting to give it a try, this weather will make you savor every bite! Enjoy.
