11.11 Franklin BBQ

January 11, 2011

BBQ is sacred in Texas, so not just anybody could open up a trailer and be successful. Franklin knows what they’re doing. They have a great brisket, and it’s the kind of place you leave craving more. No matter how much you eat, your body just asks for one more bite.

If you have out-of-town guests and want to share Texas BBQ, this is a good place to take them. I don’t know how they do it, but it’s done right.

They’re about to close up shop at the trailer and move to a permanent location/restaurant of their own. Congratulations guys! While I embrace the change, I hope the food stays just as good as it is from their trailer. It’s truly fantastic!

Be prepared to wait. Sometimes it can take up to a half hour, but it’s worth every second.

Hours: Wednesday-Sunday 11 a.m.- until food runs out (normally 2 p.m.-ish)

3421 N. I35
Austin, Texas 78722

After the move they will be at 900 E. 11th Street.

This definitely sounds like it’s worth a try. Thanks for the review. Bein an ex-Austinite in San Antonio now, it’s nice to have sites like this to keep me in touch so that I can make the most of my trips back. Love the site. Keep rocking it.
