7.11 Musashino

January 7, 2011

It’s been a long week, but I’m getting back into the groove after the holidays.

I realized that since I’m not much of a sushi person, I didn’t include many sushi places on last year’s list. My sister recently discovered sushi and wants my sushi friends to give her the 411, which is how I ended up in Musashino.

I think it’s the best sushi in the city. Sushi lovers rave about the freshness and quality, and it’s probably the most authentic Japanese fare in town. I, however, got hooked on the chicken teriyaki. I crave it like a bad habit. Something about the sauce satisfies my taste buds in a way that I can’t explain.

The entire experience is worth the night out. It’s just a fun place to eat, even if you’re not crazy about sushi.

On weekends there’s almost always a wait, but’s it’s worth every penny.

(Don’t get confused – it’s the lower level of the “Chinatown” building.)
