328. A Tuna Christmas

November 24, 2010

I know you’re thinking I must be getting my holidays mixed up, but “A Tuna Christmas” is a holiday favorite and only runs through this Sunday, November 28th.

This fictional comedy is set in the “third-smallest” town in Texas — “Tuna” — and it’s packed full of southern sarcasm and hilarity. What’s also cool is that two men play the entire cast of over twenty characters, both men and women.

The “Tuna” series has been popular for a long time. The show’s comedians, Joe Sears and Jason Williams, performed “A Tuna Christmas” for the former President George Bush and Barbara Bush at the White House.

The first Tuna play, “Greater Tuna” debuted more than 20 years ago in Austin. They now travel around the country and perform throughout the year.
