189. Trapeze Austin

July 8, 2010

How about keeping things weird, venturing outside your conform zone and trying something completely random? This is also a crazy fun indoor way to avoid the rain! There used to be an outdoor trapeze place a block from my place and I would pass it everyday on the way home and watch in amazement. It actually took me weeks to figure out what exactly was going on but once I realized it was a trapeze class and not some crazy obstacle course, I was hooked.

I just thought in an effort to avoid the dog days of summer this can really spice it up. They offer classes for all levels but fear not first timers, they have beginner friendly classes. They are also something that could be good for birthday parties, a fun and random date, bachelorette parties or just getting out of your daily grind.

Attention parents, they have a “Circus Plus” week long Day Camp for kids through August 20th.

It takes me back to those days of gymnastics. It is Cirque De Soleil meets Barnum and Bailey’s and for me this is the closest I’ll ever make it to either of those. Lastly, you Sex in the City lovers, here is your chance to have a Carrie Bradshaw moment.

Two main stipulations – must be over age 6 and under 250 pounds.

Here is to trying new things in the new decade.

Don’t miss the deal for blog followers – 50% off for a two hour lesson!
