150. Sunday Afternoon Market

May 30, 2010

Its Indy 500 Day, I have watched this race or at least part of it on Memorial Day weekend for as long as I can remember because my dad is a huge fan, so I am very excited that it is race day. I hope that everyone’s Memorial Day weekend is off to a fantastic start. Like I said before, this weekend is all about being outside and enjoying Austin and out freedom.

Here is yet another farmer’s market that Austin has to offer, every Sunday – weather permitting. This market includes everything from:
– Food
– Vintage Clothing
– Crafts
– Arts
– Handmade, original fare

Like most street markets it a is a gathering of local vendors combining both artists and farmers to bring a little flare East 6th Street on Sunday Mornings.

Cheer Up Charlie’s organizes this every Sunday, a side note about them. In 2009 they were voted by the Austin Chronicle Best Cart of Vegan Luv.  Cheer Up Charlie’s is a great vegan food cart that has a great selection or raw, organic chocolate. So definitely test them out while you are strolling around the market today.
When: Every Sunday 10:00am-3:00pm

Have a great and safe Sunday. Don’t forget your sun block. Just a heads up, there a few exciting Sunday’s in the June line up so get excited.

Location:
Cheer Up Charlie’s
1104 East 6th Street
Austin, Texas 78701
