101. Free Mimosas with Brunch at Rio’s Brazilian Café

April 11, 2010

I was going to recommend a brunch spot downtown but then I remembered it was the Capital 10k today and thought it would be a good morning to avoid that area of town if at all possible.

Instead of heading downtown for brunch – why not head east to Rio’s Brazilian Café. One of my favorite things about Sunday is Sunday Brunch, there is something so gratifying about having a nice brunch and coming home and enjoying an afternoon nap. The only thing that can make Sunday Brunch better is FREE mimosas with your brunch, be forewarned they limit you to two.

For those seeking ordering advice, try the fried yucca, tijuca sandwich, caipirinhas or any of their gluten-free frozen cheese breads. Oh yes and one more thing, they make a great, great cup of coffee!

They are in the process of applying for their own beer and wine license so currently they are BYOB (always a good thing, right?)

I love that they have indoor and outdoor seating, drive-thru and take-out, basically however you want to be served that will do it. Free wi-fi too for those that need to get some work done while enjoying a good meal.

This is one of those places that just embodies the East Side Austin feel. Oddly enough though I also feel that the atmosphere of this little hot spot is exactly what it would be like if I was eating in a small village in Rio De Jenero. In closing, great friendly service, got to love that about local Austin.

Sunday Brunch: 11:00am-3:00pm

Enjoy!

Location:
