72. Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo

Its Rodeo Time in Texas and yesterday marked the start of the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo.  This is a great event every year with fun for both kids and adults. They support a great cause and raise thousands of dollars each year in scholarship money for local schools.

Each day there is a different  way to get into the fairground FREE! From wearing a cowboy hat to wearing pink- each day there’s a way to get in free:

Next Friday they have the BBQ Cook-Off  at 12:00 PM -40 of the world’s finest BBQ teams gather on the Fairgrounds of the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo to feed visitors. Teams compete in several categories: Brisket, Chicken, Best Southern Hospitality and Most Money Raised. The tip money that visitors place in the teams’ tip jars helps support our Scholarship Fund.
